Fellow Corporate Challengers,
Well for a 39 degree day it wasn’t that bad!!!

Thanks you to all challengers who braved the heat on Monday, It was a great day despite the weather.
Welcome to all new players, we hope it was a great introduction to the Challenge for your business and you will join us again some time in the near future.
As always Meadow Springs was in great condition and provided a fantastic venue for our 8th event. It is one of my favourite courses and is a true joy to play.

To Dean, Shelly, the Chef and all the staff at Meadow Springs, Thankyou for providing another perfect Corporate Challenge Event.
The Course, Food and Service were all excellent and we look forward to next year’s event.

There were some great scores on the day with the top 2 teams proving that a home course advantage is very helpful.
Congratulations to The Meadow Springs Teams Finishing 1st and 2nd respectively. Ted Erdman and Phil Hickling were nudged out by J.Varro and Kerry Norlin team who 0.25 of a shot ahead. The Camco team finished 3rd on 62, a fantastic score from those guys. Nearest to the pins were Kerry Norlin and John Fisher and longest drives Brendan Smith and John Fisher.

The leader board is very, very close with 11/2 shots separating all teams, only 4 events remain in the Challenge, so it’s now or never.

As always thanks must go to our major sponsors AXIS Financial Group for their support of the event and Emma in Golf Professional for some help around the course. Also thanks to Gage Roads for their contribution to the prizes.
Our next event…. Sun City Country Club
One of WA’s true hidden secrets Sun City is a must play, designed and built in the 70’s and measuring 6400m in length (still one of the longest in WA) the course borders a national park and undulates its way through fantastic country side abound with native flora and fauna. The design demands a lot from the golfer with many long par 4’s, heavily undulating fairways, long and blind tee shots, big elevation, changes, double dog legs and slick greens. Sun City is a beautiful creation and a true credit to its designer Murray Dawson as it still provides a tough challenge for any golfer nearly 30 years on. The Club house stands high above the course overlooking the 9th and 18th holes and provides sweeping views. The prefect spot to have a quiet ale and reflect after the game. Sun City is at home amongst the best in the state.
