Fellow Corporate Challengers,
What a tough day at the office!!!
Thanks you to all challengers who braved the heat on Monday, I think it was almost as hot as Meadow Springs!!.
Welcome to all new players, we hope it was a great introduction to the Challenge for your business and you will join us again some time in the near future.
As always Sun City provided a great venue for golf. The course is a living remainder of golf history in WA and 30 years on it is still as tough as the day it opened.
It is one of the few courses in WA that will stand the test of time.
A big thankyou to Andrew, Trish and the team at Sun City for providing another great Corporate Challenge Event.
The Course, Food and Service were all excellent and we look forward to next year’s event.
Scoring was tough for all teams who attended the event. Sun City always requires a little bit extra and this event was no exception.
Congratulations to new kids on the block the Eversafe team of Dave Clegg and Rob Miller who finished 1st with 67 points.
Second was WA Golf Promotions with 67.5. A big thanks to my team mate David Whelan who Played very well. 3rd place went to the Harcourts team with 71.
The leader board is very, very close with less than 1 shot separating all eligible teams. Only 3 events remain in the Challenge and we could not have asked for a tighter finish.
All teams get ready for a do or die battle to finish!!
I can’t wait to crown the inaugural Corporate Challenge Champions for 2007-2008.
As always thanks must go to our major sponsors AXIS Financial Group for their support of the event. Also thanks to Gage Roads for their contribution to the prizes.
Our next event….
It’s no secret – Secret Harbour Golf Links has to be on the must-play list of courses for any golfer
worth his salt. Just ask Lee Trevino and Gary Player who were there for the opening. Marsh’s
superb creation, which he rates as amongst his best work, offers the perfect mix of typical
links golf with modern design elements like sharp doglegs and strategic lakes. The rolling fairways are
punctuated with pot bunkers as they play alongside natural sand dunes, affording some stunning views of
the surrounding suburb and the ocean. Each hole presents several tee-shot options, depending on the wind
conditions and the player’s ability. Secret Harbour is a stunning representation of WA Resort golf and the
3256m front and 3167 m back nines are visually stimulating and a true test for the thinking golfer.
