…A record score wins the day and the year!!!!!!!
Thank you to all teams who were involved for the final event of the year. What a finish it was!!! The weather finally came good and so did the golf. The day was everything we had hoped for and at the end the cream rose to the top. Congratulations to team Rexel on winning the day with a lowest ever score and taking out the series by 0.19 of a shot over Mainstay. Only 1.1 shots separated the whole field for the 12 events which is testament to the sportsmanship and good nature of the competition.
Thankyou to all teams for your patience with re scheduling of the event and a big welcome to the teams competing for the first time. We hope to welcome you to future events.
Congratulations Kim Chatfield and Ivan Osbourne of the Rexel (Osram) team, winners of the day on a fantastic 59.5, combined with Rexel’s second team they managed to shave over 0.4 of a shot off the Order of Merit and take out the championship, WA Golf Promotions ran second and Camco’s Mark Howell and Kevin Channer run a tight 3rd with 65. Kim Chatfield and Gareth McKean were the big hitters and Layne Richardson and Kim Chatfield (again!!) were the nearest to the pins.
Thankyou to Fiona, Scott, Sam and the team at Joondalup for providing a (2) great day’s with or without the weather, as always the course was superb and the hospitality is always worthy of the title Australia’s number 1 resort facility.
We all eagerly await the final event next year and can only hope that the competition is as hot.
