Review
Thankyou once again for being part of another great Corporate Challenge. It was another excellent day, with some great food and golf. It seems like every event just gets better and better
and with the first 6 events gone in a flash we will all have to make the most of the last 6. It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the season already!!
The leader board for Corporate Challenge Championship remains very close with all teams still in the hunt and less than 1shot separating most.
A big thankyou to The Golf Club Kennedy Bay, it is such a magnificent golf course and I would have to say one of my favourites.
It’s a world class layout which requires every club in the bag, every shot in the book and is a true joy to play.
Also thankyou to the weather gods for providing a truly links type day and letting us finish dry.
Thankyou to Peter and Russel for the golf and Carolyn for the food, the event ran seamlessly and the food was superb.
Your service was outstanding and I’m sure appreciated by all.
.
Congratulations to B.Pinnington and A. Brewer of the Rexel team who finished at the top of the heap with 64.5. Gareth the team captain will be Jealous!!
Also to John Clark and Gary Temczuck of the Axis team who finished 2nd on 66.5 and WA Golf Promotions just pipped the other Axis team for 3rd by .5 of a shot.
A Great effort from our major sponsors. Well done to John Caputo of Harcourts and Bob Kent from Camco who were the nearest to the pins and Shane Galvanin of Rexel for the longest drive.
Finally just a quick thank you to Axis Finance Group our major sponsor, who without their support the event would not be possible.
Our next event….
Royal Perth
Royal Perth is a championship course which provides a thorough test for most golfers. Major open and amateur tournaments have been played regularly at Royal Perth over many years and invariably scores indicate the course to be considerably tougher than it appears. The narrow fairways require accurate placement from the tee, while the small size greens can provide elusive targets. Royal Perth has made a fine contribution to golf in WA and Australia. Apart from hosting numerous championships it has also produced many of golf’s senior administrators over the years. History also shows the club has consistently produced many top golfers who have represented the sport with distinction. The fine traditions established at Royal Perth over the past 100 years have provided much enjoyment for countless golfers and now for all Corporate Challenge Participants.
As always, looking forward to the next event
