…and the record came tumbling down!!!!!!!

Thank you to all teams who were a part of the Secret Harbour Corporate Challenge Event. It was one of the great events of the series represented by some of the lowest winning scores seen all year. It was an absolutely perfect day for golf complemented by a perfect golf course. Secret Harbour always lives up to it’s reputation as one of the top 25 courses in the country, it is a magnificent layout and the greens are as pure and true as they come.
A Big thanks to Britt, Ross, Travis, and the team at Secret Harbour, the course, food and service all top notch throughout the day.

Scores were some of the best we have seen, all teams are showing great spirit as was head down the home stretch to the grand finale event in March in around 7 weeks.
Congratulations to the Harcourt’s team of John Caputo and Mike Clay who not only took out their 1st Corporate Challenge victory but secured the lowest score in the events history 61. A gallant 2nd went to the Mainstay team of J.Fisher and S.Harman with 62.25, that has also helped them into second place on the order of merit. Third went to the Rexel team of G. McKean and K. Chatfield with 63.25 also a respectable score. Gareth also picked up the longest drive and a nearest to the pin award, with the remaining J.Green NTP and A.Graham the longest drive.
The Order of Merit remains tight with all teams still having a theoretical chance at the title. I am confident it will come down to the Joondalup event to decide the Corporate Challenge Champions.

We are almost ready to release the details for the 2008 season. It will be bigger and better with a few surprises in store. I can only hope it is as enjoyable as this one has been.

As always thanks must go to our major sponsors AXIS Financial Group for their support of the event. Also thanks to Gage Roads for their contribution to the prizes.
Our next event….
The Vines Resort & Country Club is one of Western Australia’s most recognised premier golfing
facilities. Course architects Graham Marsh and Ross Watson skilfully and strategically used the
stunning landscape to produce championship courses that command respect. The fairways are generous
enough for the average golfer, but a premium has been put on the consequence of finishing in either
bunker or water if the ball goes astray. Both rated in the Top 10 Resort Courses in Australia (Golf Australia
Magazine, May 2003) The championship layout (a blend of the two courses) has hosted some of the world’s
golfing greats including Norman, Player, Els, Langer, Daly and Campbell during the Heineken Classic days.
